Nel 1941 il diciottenne Fred Lovett si è unito ad una banda militare dell’Esercito canadese. Successivamente, ha prestato servizio come fante nel The Perth Regiment. Nel 1944, si è ritrovato in prima linea durante la Campagna militare alleata in Italia. La sua unità ha ricoperto un ruolo chiave nello sfondamento della Linea Gotica…ha combattuto anche per la Liberazione dell’Europa nord-occidentale. Questa è la sua storia.

In 1941, 18-year-old Fred Lovett joined a military band of the Canadian Army. He later served as an infantryman into The Perth Regiment. In 1944, he found himself at the forefront of the war in Italy. His unit played a key role in breaking the Gothic Line… he fought also for the Liberation of North-Western Europe. This is his story.
